DO YOU HAVE a mole or skin tag that causes irritation or makes you feel self-conscious? Don’t let it bother you any longer! We remove moles and skin tags on a daily basis and you don’t even need a scalpel or stitches.
Cosmetic Mole Removal is a delicate radiofrequency shave procedure that removes benign (non-cancerous) moles or skin tags.
In the sunny Australian climate, moles are quite common. The vast majority of moles that appear on the skin before the age of 30 are commonly non-cancerous, but they can cause irritation
on the skin, or they may just be a cosmetic nuisance, especially if they are located on the face or neck.
At Cosmetic Image Clinics, we use the high- tech gold standard Ellman Surgitron machine so there is no cutting or sutures required, unlike surgical excision. Cosmetic Mole Removal is a walk-in walk-out procedure, with little aftercare required, so you can return to your normal activities the same day.
Unwanted moles and skin tags can be removed with a delicate shave procedure using our Ellman Surgitron radiofrequency diathermy machine. No stitches or scalpels are required. Anal Skin tags can also be removed in the clinic under local anaesthesia.

Dr Tall together with our aesthetic medicine team has successfully performed thousands of benign mole and skin tag removals.
Using the high-tech gold standard Ellman Surgitron Diathermy Technology, unwanted protruding moles and skin tags can be removed by an effective radiofrequency shave procedure by our experienced team. Your moles will firstly be checked by a doctor. Any lesions of concern will be sent to the laboratory for testing.
The procedure takes a short time, and requires only a small local anaesthetic, which is very fast acting. Following the procedure a small dressing is applied, which can be left on during showering, and is removed a few days later.
Many patients have reported a new-found confidence following cosmetic mole removal, having suffered the embarrassment of unsightly moles on their face and body. Cosmetic mole removal using the Surgitron is a very efficient, cost effective procedure, with dramatic results!
Our clinic is medically supervised and if experience, credibility and a ‘natural look’ is what you are looking for, then make Queensland’s largest cosmetic clinic, Cosmetic Image Clinics your preferred provider.
The procedure is quick, taking less than half an hour to remove those moles you have often lived with nearly all your life.
A little local anaesthetic numbs the area which makes the procedure totally painless and there is minimal bleeding as the diathermy machine seals the blood vessels as it removes the mole. The surprise and delight is evident on clients’ faces when they look in the mirror and see the mole has vanished.
The healing process takes around two weeks. It is important to keep the treated area covered with a dressing such as a transparent cold sore patch until it has healed. Moist wound healing will ensure no crust or scab forms which lowers your risk of scarring.
The treated area will remain pinkish for a few weeks to a couple of months. After that, the treated area where the skin is younger and fresher may often appear a little lighter than the surrounding area. The texture of the skin may be also subtly different to the surrounding skin, as the newly grown skin has not been sun damaged in comparison.
The end result is the raised, often darker unsightly mole is replaced by youthful new skin.

Most moles are not dangerous. If you see changes in existing moles or a mole first appears after the age of 30 then you should see a dermatologist. Similarly if you see signs that the mole has changed color, height, size, or shape, you should have a dermatologist evaluate it. You also should have moles checked if they bleed, discharge, itch, or become tender or sore.
